Hi all, I just finished the Elf Queen saga and it was so so good and now because of the cliffhanger and how fabulous those books were I’m in a full slump. I just DNF’ed Starling House and A Study In Drowning. To be fair, the prose style of those authors is like not my fave (the whole constant inner monologue thing – not sure what you would call that), but I think I’m just not tolerating them because of the whole slump thing. I do love fantasy and I’m not okay with a series of a stand-alone but I can’t seem to find anything that will compare to the Elf Queen series so thought I would ask here. My favorites from this year was Elf Queen saga, The Kingdom of Crows series and How Does It Feel? (By Jeneane O’Reilly), and I also njoyed some of the highly recommended series like books by SJM and JLA. Curious what you all have that maybe are lesser known? Bonus if it’s on KU.
