Recently I’ve been getting back into reading. I stopped avidly reading after it felt more like a chore/homework by school. Recently I’ve given myself the chance to get back into it for fun, and I’ve forgotten how nice it is to sit down and read something that interests you.

I’ve been starting off by series I read in middle school, like the Red Queen series and the Hunger Games. But also expanded to books older books like the Yellow Wallpaper, Herland, and Of Mice and Men. ( It doesn’t feel like much I know, but bear with me please lol. ) Of course I found that series I used to love, like Carve The Mark, I absolutely hate now.

So I was wondering if there’s any other things I could get into ?

As bad as it sounds, I’ve always been picky about my choice of books (Ex. I’ve never read Harry Potter or Divergent because it just never appealed to me ) because I wont get into things unless I know they’re good.

I tend to gravitate to fictional media that have action/thriller/sci-fi/fantasy. I also like dystopian and apocalyptic worlds, and a good world building if it’s something that includes different planets/species/etc.
But of course I song restrict myself to only those things and I’m honestly willing to try new themes & genres out, along with other older books.

P.S: Is Game of Thrones / Percy Jackson any good ? I was thinking of getting into these series as they’re popular and caught my attention, but I’m not sure yet if it’ll be something I’ll like.
