One of the most mind-altering poems I have ever read in my life, and I can’t remember the title or the author. Please help me track it down. It starts with the author describing himself sitting in an armchair late at night (“my good wife long in bed”) and contemplating his existence and its triviality.
I find it very difficult that anyone who’d ever read the last line would be able to forget it, here it is approximately: “and walk forever out towards the island”
Thank you!
