hello! a while ago my good friend and i read Dune in anticipation of the most recent film series. are there any other books that are the basis of forthcoming movies? or TV series?
Killers of the Flower Moon. True story about the murders of the Osage Indians of Oklahoma in the 1920s when oil was discovered on their lands. Book and movie have the same title. Book was kind of slow but interesting! Looking forward to seeing the movie.

The Hunger Games prequel movie based on the prequel novel comes out in, I think, November. It’s called The Ballard of Somgbirds and Snakes. If you’re a fan, the prequel is just as good as the series was with a heavy focus on Snow.

This is supposed to have a film adaptation in the works but I can’t find any recent news or updates. It’s a great book regardless. Any film adaptation of this great storyline could easily be “modernized” but I personally would prefer the original non-contemporary era and location be maintained (late 1920’s, rural Canada)
I’ve heard Denis Villeneuve plans on making “Rendezvous with Rama”

Anyone know if Andy Weir’s “Hail Mary” will get a movie?

Reminds me of that sign on the library on the Simpsons “we have books about tv shows”.

Fellow Travelers by Thomas Mallon is about to become a miniseries with Matt Bomer and Jonathan Bailey.
Strangers by Taichi Yamada is about to be loosely adapted into the film All of Us Strangers, with Andrew Scott, Paul Mescal, Claire Foy, and Jamie Bell. It’s a dreamy, eerie, sexy, sad, and ethereal novel, a sort of contemporary Turn of the Screw.
The King’s Assassin by Benjamin Woolley is the basis for the upcoming miniseries Mary & George with Julianne Moore and Nicholas Galatzine.
The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid has a film adaptation in development.
All of these books are absolutely worth reading.
