I just finished “Child of God” by Cormac McCarthy over the course of 2 flights. Holy hell was that a ride. I absolutely love brutal horror, and this book was rough.
I usually struggle to read much more than a few pages at a time, but I couldn’t put this book down. It was incredibly fascinating and brutal.
