My (22M) girlfriend (21F) has been getting back into reading for pleasure recently, and she is hoping to read more in the new year. I was thinking of getting her a book/multiple books for Christmas and was hoping you could help.
I was considering getting Remarkably Bright Creatures because she loves aquatic animals and would really enjoy it I think. She also wants to read horror, but not Stephen King because she’s already seen most of the movies. I think she wants a book that is legitimately scary! Any ideas?
She also lovessss Little Women (the Greta Gerwig movie) and I was thinking of getting her the book. Is it fairly readable? How does it hold up for modern audiences (not the story, which I know is timeless; I mean moreso the prose)?
