Looking for books like Red Sister or Gilded Ones
I’m looking for a book with a FMC like in the Book of the Ancestor series by Mark Lawrence! This is my all time favorite series and I finished it at the beginning of the year. FMC doesn’t have to start off super young. I enjoyed watching the growth of Nona throughout the series and seeing how powerful and smart she becomes.
Things I loved:
Training sessions
Battle scenes
World building
Romance was not the center of attention
Powerful characters and abilities all around
FMC is more powerful, but still learning
FMC kind of chill/neutral attitude (not bubbly or overly confident/cocky)
The importance of friendship for the FMC
I recently started the 2nd book in the Gilded Ones series
Things I loved:
Powerful FMC
Learns and grows stronger as time goes on
Closeness in friendship
The battle scenes
World building
Twists and turns, things being revealed as time goes on
I’ve also started Nevernight, read Throne of Glass, and read the Fifth Season! Same with Graceling
I don’t really enjoy books where they absolutely dog on the MC every millisecond of interaction.
Any suggestions?
