strange request but i’m desperate!!
i (23f) am child of a narcissist mother who refuses to believe they’re a narcissist.
she is super into “self care” right now and requested a self help book for christmas. i want to give her a book that she will read and maybe reflect enough to make a change, given that we as a family have all told her she possesses a lot of narcissistic traits. these could have been due to family trauma from her growing up, so maybe books surrounding parenting, trauma, that kind of stuff (not really just the books that talk about cleaning habits or being more focused).
the issue is i don’t want to ruin christmas by handing her a book that says “how to not be a narcissist” or something like that. looking for a book that may possess insight on the inside, but may have a more subtle title or cover.
