    Hello everyone,
After having read Whitehead’s Zone One I am really getting invested into his novels. (This is my second novel after “The Underground Railroad”) Both novels address the aspect of “freedom” to more or less of an extend although in totally different ways. While it can be argued that Cora seeks primarily for physical and emotional freedom, I wonder what kind of freedom Mark Spitz truly strives for. Does he seek one certain kind of freedom or many ways of freedom? Is he at a certain point of the story maybe already free?

What are your takes on the aspect of freedom. I would greatly appreciate if you could drop some quotes so that I can reread these passages and try to comprehend your reasonings.

Really looking forward to any of your comments!
