I want to gift my friend a book but we have very different taste in books so it would be helpful if you all could suggest something.
He loves detective fiction. Sherlocks Holmes series and Agatha Christie being his favourites. He once mentioned he likes how cozy Agatha’s books make him feel.
Now, I’ve been researching quite a bit on cozy mysteries and there are SO MANY that I’m a bit lost here. Three of the most common reccs I’ve found on this sub are The Thursday Murder Club, The Cat Who series and The No. 1 Lady Detective. I’ve read descriptions and reviews of these three and I feel like it might not be at par to the Christie books he so loves.
I’m looking for good well fleshed out characters, cozy feel, and classic whodunnit story that keeps the suspence till the end. Also, nothing too dark, vulgar or gore.
