What’s your personal strategy for jumping into long books?
I’ve read plenty of long books over the years, but recently I don’t have the motivation to start them. I think it stems from the fact that I have a substantial tbr list and am guilty of tsundoku. I often gaze upon my bookshelf with anticipation of what to read next. I think in my current state Im a little intimidated by the thought of one book taking up one if not multiple months of reading when I have a bookshelf of more reasonably length books.
I’m not worried about losing focus or the act reading one that long but more of the exclusivity of it…if that makes sense
On strategy is that I plan to make my annual book reading challenge a very modest number for 2024, so I don’t feel pressured. I also took lonesome dove out of my tbr storage so I finally tackle it
Any thoughts?
