Looking for books where a fictional character comes to life. Perhaps said character is from a book or a movie.
Bonus points if the protag is the character’s creator in some way (like if they are the author of the character).

The Dark Half by Stephen King
This example is sort of the opposite, in that actual authors become fictional characters. It’s a trilogy by Félix J. Palma. The books are The Map of Time, The Map of the Sky, and The Map of Chaos, and they are collectively The Map of Time Trilogy. The authors depicted include H.G. Wells, Arthur Conan Doyle, and Lewis Carroll.
In *Inkheart* by Cornelia Funke, an extraordinarily gifted storyteller can summon characters from a story as well as enter fictional worlds.
In *Pet* by Akwaeke Emezi, a creature from a painting comes to life. The prequel *Bitter* explores this process further. Both deal with the relationship between creature and creator.
