I have been looking into high quality printing presses recently, in part searching for a nice edition of Dickinson poetry for my fiance. I started with Folio Society but have looked at a lot of different presses.
I noticed that many fine printers specialise in the occult and esotericism, selling high quality and artisanal editions of historical works in this vein.
Does anyone know if there’s a historical reason for the frequency with which the occult is a focus for artisanal presses?
