As an aside to the post about [books that would have been better if they were shorter](https://www.reddit.com/r/books/comments/18h6hgf/what_book_wouldve_been_great_if_it_were_much/) (see: King, Stephen and the entire Wheel of Time series) — what books did you thoroughly enjoy for all 1,000 pages or so? What books are epic world-builders that keep you engaged all the way through? You may read them for a month, but feel sad when they end.
