I’m 26M and my mom 55F just passed away on Dec 2nd. She was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer over 6 years ago and she fought long and hard. She was always smiling and laughing and never complained about her situation. This has been a really devastating loss to me, my dad, and my sister despite us being relieved that she is no longer in pain. I’ve been pretty numb since she passed so I’ve been hoping reading will help with that.
I just started reading A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness and it’s been helping me wrap my head around grief as this loss is unlike any loss I’ve experienced before. I would love more recommendations that helped you understand and cope with grief!
