Im about to finish the Harry Potter series and am left with a sadness that the story of the 3 main characters ive read about is about to end. Do you guys know any fantasy book series with a similar theme and progression of HP? Preferably a young protagonist starting a school of some sort (doesnt have to be a school of magic) and eventually meeting the main friend group and having exciting adventures. Im 21 so i dont want a kids series. It doesnt have to be super dark or anything, but i dont want a book directed towards kids. Sorry if its too specific. I dont read too much and dont want to spend time and money for a book that ends up being lackluster. HP is the first book series ive finished and I feel like ive set the bar quite high.
