Hello!
I really love reading stories and I think that is because I play with the information in my head whilst also constructing it visually through imagination, having this self made image of what is going on in the story also helps me remember it long term so I can carry it with me, I now find myself however with a bunch of books I want to read about various topics both academical and non and given that most of them are not necessarily written for pleasure but for one to learn from them. I’m not sure how to go about it as all I can think of to maximise what I learn seems like it would get in the way of actually reading the book (besides playing with information which is still doable it just gets more difficult due to the density of the information). I’d like to learn as much as I can, how do you guys approach books like that? Are there some pointers you could give?
