My mom has a lot of credits for audible, and desperately wants to cancel, but she doesn’t want to lose all her credits. So I’m thinking as a gift I would make her a curated list of books to use all her credits on. We’d get them all Christmas Day and I’ll cancel audible for her.
She just got terminated by her employer this year as vice president of a brick and mortar clothing store. So she’s been in a bit of funk and I’m certain a library of good books would help her with this malaise.
So what would she like? Her favorite book of all time is East of Eden by Steinbeck. She likes fiction and non-fiction. I’m already thinking The Bell Jar, a biography of a badass woman who has overcome adversity, and possibly A Tale for the Time Being. Sci-fi and fantasy aren’t really her thing.
So what do you all think? All recommendations are greatly appreciated, and hopefully you can help this awesome woman see some light in the darkness that has surrounded her this year.
Thank you all in advance!
