Recently read (and LOVED) This Is How You Lose the Time War. I’ve also read and loved
-The Faceless Old Woman Who Secretly Lives in Your Home
-You Feel It Just Below the Ribs
-the Darker Shade of Magic series
-The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue
-Vicious
I loved the layout of both You Feel It Just Below the Ribs and This Is How You Lose the Time War.
I’m desperate to read something new but I haven’t had time to just go sit in a bookstore 😭
Edit: fiction please!

General Gut Wrenching:
*The Uninhabitable Earth* –David Wallace-Wells
A court of thorns and Roses (the second book picks up)
the Song of Achilles
Daughter of smoke and bone
Wuthering heights
Tiger Lily by Jodi Lynn Anderson
11.22.63- It’s Stephen King, but it is time travel not horror, although there is some darkness in it, especially in the beginning. At its heart: a beautiful, impossible, sacrificial love story.
The Four Feathers
The Domesday Book
The Prisoner of Zenda
*The House at Riverton* by Kate Morton
*The Hunchback of Notre Dame* by Victor Hugo
(Hunchback takes ~2 chapters to get into, but once you’re in: you’re in. It’s a favorite that I have not reread, and never will. It tore me up that much.)
We The Living by Ayn Rand
Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte
