First I want to say sorry for any future grammar mistakes. I’m not the best at explaining stuff but I’ll do my best.
I really wanted to like these books but every time I turned a page I couldn’t help but think about The Mortal instruments series. (Which by the way isn’t my favorite series either)
The romance was non-existent and toxic!!! Seriously she really did not need to add any romance at all. Also why the heck is he a teenager and she is a 26 year old woman. Why can’t people be the same age? 😐😐😐
ALL THREE BOOKS SHE HAD TO BE CONSTANTLY REASSURED!
The characters were pretty cliche
Breen(Stupid name) the typical Mary Sue chosen one with low self-confidence and no backbone
Keegan (Stupid name) the typical abusive jerk that for some reason the main character falls in love with. And of course he pressured her for sex
Marco(Nice name) the stereotypical gay best friend that has no personality other then being her cheerleader. I’m all for representation but wow the dude is a walking stereotype
The side characters were well I’m going to be honest more interesting than the main characters but still forgettable.
The last book is what made me super angry though. 438 pages and the action starts at page 412 😡😡😡
I heard Nora Roberts is a good romance author but maybe fantasy is just not her thing.
Oh yeah it’s a fantasy book I forgot it was a fantasy 😭😭😭😭😂😂😂
