I remember falling in love with books as soon as I opened the first page of my first ever book “The Prince and the Pauper” (I was 6 yo back then).
I was rised by my grandma and she was very strict about studying. She always forced me to read when I wasn’t studying so it kinda made me hate books because reading became something I was obligated to do. So when I grew up I stopped reading for a while. I still couldn’t leave books once and for all, but I still read 2/3 books per year.
When I left my grandma, I started reading again.
Now I’m 22 and one of my “biggest” goals is to read at least 1000 books before I die. I’m on my 198th book right now (I counted based on how many books I remember) and I was thinking: is it a good amount? Will I ever be able to read those 802 books before I die?
Is there someone else with this goal? What is your number?
