*Pet* by Akwaeke Emezi is a novella about a young transgender girl who discovers an unusual monster. Crams a lot of unique mythos and plot into a short number of pages.
*Light From Uncommon Stars* by Ryka Aoki is an enjoyable tale featuring multiple storylines. A transgender youth is taken in by a violin teacher… who falls in love with a doughnut making alien and may or may not sell their souls to a demon. Not everything here works, but it’s a sweet tale and an easy light read. Multiple fluid characters.

I’ve not read it yet, but Raven Tower by Ann Leckie supposedly has a main trans ftm character. The whole story takes place from the tower’s point of view (yes, really) but I believe that he is a main character. The genre is adult fantasy.
I can’t speak to the quality of the book or the representation, since I’ve not read it yet. I’ve heard good things, though. Enjoy :^)

There is a ftm toward the end of the grishaverse series. It’s a weird kinda fantasy transition but well written imo. That is a minor story line in the end of a massive series so not exactly what you’re looking for, but still worth the read.

The Story of Silence by Alex Myers. Author is also trans. It’s a prose retelling of a 13th c French poem that explores identity in a modern way.
Note that the publisher’s summary doesn’t specifically say the character is trans but the actual book is quite clear.
