I’m looking for ghost stories where they really have to investigate the ghosts, not just ones where there are scary ghosts who kill people and that’s the end of it. They can kill people of course but I want to read about them finding the history of the ghost/house/area in a meaningful way.
Doesn’t need to be scary ghost stories either. Can be sad, funny, mysterious, ect.
Not sure how to really describe what I’m looking for haha. I played a game last night describing a person finding the story behind a fire at a school and everything that happened and wanted more of that. Most of the ghosts in that story were the victims attending to help the player learn their story to end their pain but there was a big baddie.
