It sounds like I’m describing almost every book imaginable but I’m talking books where the main character is choosing to be optimistic about the future if they “just keep trying” but, no matter what they do, it always ends up blowing up in their face (bonus points if they’re actually really depressed but are trying to stay hopeful for the sake of their sanity and not wanting those around them to worry).
I just need someone to relate to 💀✨
