So, I’m bi and I’m reading a book about a bi character: The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo. I think this book, so far (230th pages) is amazing. My mom and my sister loves to read as well, but they’re straight.

My sister used to be pretty liberal, but like 4 years ago, our country’s anti-lgbtq propaganda made her resent the community and each time she reads a story including gay love, she says it was out of nowhere, annoying, unneccessary and it’s just woke tokenism.

My mom didn’t complain much about gay characters so far, however, she never really read explicit sensual scenes between same sex people.

I’d like to share my joy with the book, but I’m afraid of outing myself by saying I like the romance and I think it’s realistic and well done. They maybe know it already, but we all pretend I’m straight. It’s only my brother, who knows.

Maybe I can tell them that the husbands are interesting and that’s it, but that would be a partial lie. They’re interesting for sure, but the secret relationship between the 2 women is the best part so far for me.

If you think recommending the book would be more trouble than it’s worth, then it’s fine to just pass on sharing this one and find another you might all like.
