suggest me a book with a similar vibe to my favorite show, six feet under
pretty much nothing good happens to anyone ever in this show… and yet this show means so much to me, and it devastates me that hbo axed the reunion. i need something to fill the void that this beautiful show left for me.
It’s not really a vibe with the show but “Sometimes Smoke Gets In My Eyes” is an excellent memoir about a female in the funeral industry. I can’t recommend it enough!!

Boy Swallows Universe by Trent Dalton. It paints a picture very clearly of the setting and has some larger than life characters. Things are often rough for the protagonist but several years later it’s still one of my favorite novels.
