I want to get my nieces books for Christmas but all of the books that I am thinking of are books that I read at their age like Mrs. Piggle Wiggle and Stuart Little and The BFG. All great books but I figure there has to be some other books that have been published in the last 30 years that they might like too. So if you’ve got any suggestions for kids books I would love to hear them!

My little sister adored the Rainbow Magic books around that age… the last 15 years is a bit better right? 😅
Elephant and Piggie by Mo Williams for the 5 year old. My nieces love them. Read them on repeat, the 8 year might be past them now, but my older niece liked to read them to the younger ones. And, one of the younger ones who struggled with reading, kept re-reading them and my sister swears it’s how she caught up to her reading level. They are all past the reading level now, but my sister says they still pull them out and read them.
