I just finished reading The Little Shop of Found Things and Secrets of the Coffee House by Paula Brackston (have not yet read books 3 and 4, but want to take a break from the series for now). I loved the writing and the time travel/historic plotline, but I the romantic conclusion bothered me. I tagged this as a spoiler but, without giving too much away, I specifically didn’t like that a relationship between two characters was teased in both books but ultimately didn’t develop. Could anyone suggest a similar book or series with a more satisfying romantic conclusion?

Outlander by Diane Gabaldon would fit that description.
If you enjoy a good enemies-to-lovers storyline, ‘The Hating Game’ by Sally Thorne is a book I recommend for its witty banter and electric chemistry between the characters. It’s a delightful and sexy rom-com that will keep you smiling long after you’ve turned the last page.
