I’m 30 and up until recently I hadn’t read since high school I think deltora quest was my last book. I’ve gotten into reading (mostly audiobooks) but I’ve really enjoyed it and it’s been good for my mental health I listened too alot of podcasts (behind the bastards and knowledge fight mostly)

I started with Douglas Adams and Neil Gaiman and enjoyed them alot then read hobbit of a my friends endless recommendation and found The diary of Lost words by PIp Williams and really enjoyed it.

I’m not really sure where to go next, Good Omens has probably been my favourite so far

    1. If you like funny and a little weird, you should check out Christopher Moore. My favorites are his vampire books, starting with Bloodsucking Fiends. Read him when I first got into reading and still love them.

If you liked these, I’d look at:

      Senlin Ascends (Josiah Bancroft)

      Red Rising (Pierce Brown)

      Ender’s Game (Orson Scott Card)

American Gods (Neil Gaiman), if you haven’t already gotten there.

Project Hail Mary (Andy Weir) – it’s so over recommended here but it’s easy listening that lends itself to audiobook *really* well. It’s not the world’s best book (and in fact, The Martian by the same author is better) but it’s a great easy listen.

The first three of my recommendations are the beginnings of series. If you like the first, keep going.

    3. Check out {{Year Zero by Robert Reid}} since you liked Douglas Adams and Neil Gaiman.

Check out my comments history for more books that I really liked.
