Hello, I am looking for recommendations for lesbian romance novels that read intense and real, not just like a sappy hallmark rom-com. Does not need to have a happy ending. I enjoyed lesbian books like “Never Anyone but You”, “The Well of Loneliness”, “Cantoras”. Did NOT enjoy books like “Yerba Buena” or “Meet Me in Madrid”, which felt kind of shallow and didn’t pull me in. Anyone have any good recommendations for a realistic lesbian romance book?

Not “realistic” in that they are time travelers, but I liked the passion in This is How You Lose the Time War.
Just a tip for future reference, it sounds like you’re looking for literary fiction that includes a lesbian love story, not a romance novel.
