i am like many chapters in Moll Flanders and discovered she had a whole new husband after her first husband died and I have NO idea 😭 like huh where in the paragraph that it said that. then I read about how she’s suddenly cross with her much newer husband that she moved to Virginia for and I have no idea why, all I know was she heard his mom telling stories and none of the paragraph is making it clear . then I read the synopsis and I’m like ohhh…the moms stories is like Moll’s mom stories and they’re actually half siblings 😂
bruh it’s so hard to read because you actually have to read word for word in long paragraphs to not miss anything -theres lack of dialogue and the author prioritizes long paragraphs with no dialogue to tell the story. it might also be because it was published in 1700s. but man, I find this classic hard to read but I do enjoy the history.
