New member here, on my girlfriends recommendation to try it out 🙂
I am looking for shorter book (200-400 pages) recommendations, preferably standalone or duology.
Some of my all time favorite books are, in no order:
Warbreaker /Tress of the Emerald Sea by Brandon Sanderson
The Broken Empire trilogy by Mark Lawrence
The Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch
Of Dice and Men by David Ewalt
Generation Decks by Titus Chalk
Six of crows duology by Leigh Bardugo
Save to say my favorite genre so far is fantasy. I’m good with (soft) sci-fi, not too technical. I recently fell in love with cosy fantasy but I don’t fear gore or horror in books.
My main problem has been series overload, or having too many thick books on my to read. This includes the Dune series and Witcher series for example, but also many of Terry Pratchett’s Discworld are still on the shelf.
So to rephrase my top statement, I would love to get some help with shorter book recommendations (200-400 page range). Preferably standalone or duology at most.
Thank you!
