I want a book that explores how space travel may look in the future (I.e how we could travel light years), what planets people may visit/discover, what alien life could look like and how we’d approach it, etc. I want a book fully grounded in scientific theory, no conspiracy theories or anything, just scientists theorising what the future of space travel could hypothetically look like and if we were to meet ‘aliens’ what that could hypothetically look like

Michio Kaku does several books about this, The Future of Humanity would be the best known
Funnily enough, I just saw Dr. Neil DeGrasse Tyson talk about this very topic last night. He has several books would probably fit the bill, but I would start with Cosmic Queries.
“A City on Mars: Can We Settle Space, Should We Settle Space, and Have We Really Thought this Through?” by Kelly Weinersmith and Zach Weinersmith
For those who love exploring the depths of the cosmos through literature, ‘Eternal Gods Die Too Soon’ is an exceptional choice. This science fiction novel delves into complex theories of quantum mechanics and the big bang, all wrapped up in an engrossing narrative that’s hard to put down.
