I’m still reading the book, but I just hit a point that tripped me up a bit.
When Rocky first learns about the 3D printer, he asks Grace to print something, but Grace responds that the 3D printer requires gravity to work. Yet after the beetles are used to zero the Hail Mary’s rotation (and gravity), Grace somehow prints out a 3D model of the ship for Rocky. Did they really stop the rotation, then spin up the ship once more just to print a model before stopping it again to install braces to improve the structural integrity around where the beetles were mounted to act as engines?
Or am I missing something?
