Hey everyone. I am looking for new book suggestions in the above stated genres. I read almost anything, but I am specifically looking for books in the philosophy/political science genres.
To name just a few I have read various works from Aurelius, Seneca, Epictetus and Musashi. (Meditations, Letters from a Stoic, Enchiridion, Book of Five Rings/Dokkodo) and works from Nietzsche (Beyond Good and Evil) and Camus (The Myth of Sisyphus). As well as many others from said authors.
In political science I have read things like Manufacturing Consent, A People’s History of the United States, all volumes of Das Kapital, Shock Doctrine, and a few works from Lenin, Kropotkin and Engels out of curiosity.
I am looking for anything similar to things I’ve stated above that you suggest, but also things to the contrary because I am always looking to learn. Thank you in advance for any suggestions.

Naomi Klein, the author of The Shock Doctrine, has a new book called Doppelganer and it looks interesting.
You might also like David Graeber.

This may have a slightly different emphasis than you’re looking for, but the elements you mention are all represented. This was my favorite book of 2022. 10/10
For an approachable yet profound look at Eastern philosophy, ‘The Tao Te Ching’ by Lao Tzu is a book I often suggest. Its series of meditations on the nature of life and power are thought-provoking, offering a guide to living in harmony with the Tao, or the way of the universe.
