Okay. I think I’m kind of looking for a few suggestions, because I’m not sure what I want. I think for now I need a clean feel-good, light hearted book, preferably with some clean humor. Not a big fan of romance, because, hello 40 year old who’s never been on a date and has no desire to date. Enough said, I do believe. That being said, if it’s like… the sub plot of the sub plot, I can probably deal with that. Just please, no Hallmark style romance.
I’m a huge fan of YA literature, as well as good children’s literature, but certainly don’t mind books geared towards adults, either. So that’s the “for now” request.
However, I’d also like to add to my “to-read” list in general. Authors/books/series I’ve enjoyed recently:
Jodi Picoult
Harry Potter
Hunger Games (I’ve read Maze Runner and some of the other oft suggested series similar to HG.)
To Kill a Mocking Bird
The Wingfeather Saga (I’d actually be impressed if many people know of this one)
Green Ember series
Books I know I want to read but maybe “not yet” (Need a break from heavier stuff, I think?)
The Handmaid’s Tale
All the Light We Cannot See
