Hi there,
I’m looking for a comforting book for someone that suffers from depression.
The aim of the book should be to comfort the person and make them feel less alone. The depression is mainly caused by a series of unlucky events where no effort was rewarded (no death or illness), loneliness, no empathy from family members.
This makes them feel lonely and worthless. The person has lost any motivation to start their day or do something because everything they ever tried didn’t work…
I am thinking about:
\- “On Failure: How to succeed at defeat” by The School of Life
\- “A Therapeutic Journey: Lessons from The School of Life” by Alain de Botton
but I would love to hear other suggestions.
Thank you!

Legends and lattes is my favorite cozy and comforting book.
