Best Investigative Journalism Books? Looking for a book for my husband’s Christmas gift.

My husband loves Patrick Radden Keefe, Eric Larson, both of the Snowden books, anything Sackler related. He’s read all of Keefe’s books and especially loves *Say Nothing*. I’ve been recommended a few investigative journalism books that tilt a bit far into terrorism and the war that I don’t think he’d be particularly interested in — *Top Secret America* and *Seeds of Terror.* He’s also much more into big picture topics than stories that focus on one particular person or event — I loved *I’ll Be Gone in the Dark* by McNamara, he did not. I didn’t read *Under the Banner of Heaven*, but I loved the Hulu spin off. He wasn’t that interested.

I’ve been recommended *Dark Money* by a friend, that’s the closest I’ve gotten to feeling like it might be the right one.
