It seems as though once a book is adapted into a TV show/movie, it’s impossible to buy it without the cover mentioning the aforementioned show – for example, every ‘Fire and Blood’ cover I’ve seen says something along the lines of ‘The inspiration behind the series House of the Dragon’.
When I buy a book, I like a nice cover and I don’t want any prominent mention of its adaption into some kind of media. I feel like it cheapens the look of the book, takes away from the art of the original cover, and is essentially an advertisement.
So, my question is, is there anywhere to buy ‘Fire and Blood’ without this on the cover? And more generally with other books with the same issue, is there some secret place to get them with their old covers?
