I am in an online book club with reading prompts with the goal of finishing 25 prompts in a year. I am stuck on what to read for the prompt which is a book that is over 700 pages. I need something that is a quick read and likeable characters so I stay invested and want to finish. I started IQ84 and did not like it. I don’t really like SciFi or Fantasy so I prefer any other genre. My favorite books usually end up being psychological thrillers or dystopian novels and I like to be surprised by an ending. My favorites I read this year were Station Eleven, Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo and News of the World. Thank you!!!

The Covenant of Water
I haven’t read it yet, but it is on my list. It’s one of the most heavily suggested books in my LitRPG subreddit. It’s available in audiobook form. “The Wandering Inn” by pirate aba. It’s an isekai which is similar to fantasy though, has goblins and stuff in it.
