So is this the worst possible system they could have?
If you’re lucky and haven’t had to do this, the system is this:
You manually make a thread with all of the info, and then a volunteer manually enters that information again somewhere to add the book.
As you could probably guess, the number of added books vastly outnumbers the number of people willing to spend their time manually copying information from one place to the other for no reward.
So the ‘add new books’ forum goes back weeks and weeks with no books added, and will likely only get worse over time, until it collapses.
Like how could anyone have an idea this bad?
It used to be you could add books yourself, but I’m guessing that resulted in too much bad info and duplicates. So now we have a much worse system reliant on people willing to eat garbage for free.
