I really want to read a book with a demon/god-like character who pops in and out like a shadow, not always hanging around the protagonist , like Luc. To be more specific, I want a character who possess an air of mystery, appears sporadically (maybe like a genie), and possess omniscience or incredible knowledge. It doesn’t necessarily have to be a central character, but someone who holds a significant presence in the story.
Please recommend something like that!! any genre it’s fine but preferebly fantasy or historical would be perfect. Also romance elements are appreciated hehe.

R.J. Blain’s books might work, particularly her “Romantic Comedy with a Body Count” stuff- there’s a mix of God/ the Devil/ various archangels popping in and out depending on the book. The books are very silly and irreverent but definitely have the dynamic you describe especially the later ones in the series.
