This is specifically addressed to the moderators of this sub, but I have a proposition for you all. An arrangement that quite frankly you are missing out on.
On your end, I ask permission to “troll,” – a rather pejorative term for my profession in my opinion – this sub. We can work out the finer details later but as a starting point for negotiations, let’s say up to 1 troll post an hour. These posts of mine could go from amusing to downright pestilential.
On my end, the benefits I can give you from this arrangement are massive. For one, I will provide you with invaluable information, such as the insights of my posts to let you know how your community at large responds. These analytics could be used by your community to modify the workings of this sub by changing rules, guiding topics of discussion, and tuning your moderation methods to maximize community engagement, and tap the large potential for book reviewing that’s sitting out there. In addition, I will not use my army of bots to uncontrollably terrorize this sub, which would be terrible. By allowing me a fixed amount of troll posts, we can keep a healthy balance instead of pushing the trolling underground.
This relationship is a game-changer. It will be amazing for both sides. By doing what’s best for all of us through synergizing our needs and efforts, we can push the limits of our outreach to the greater Reddit platform.
