Just read Gideon the Ninth and after promptly SOBBING for a good hour I realized that I need something with a bit of a more resolute “we end up together” type ending. Preferably something well written where the romance isn’t the only thing going on. I still want a fun world to enjoy.

This Is How You Lose the Time War by Amal El-Mohtar & Max Gladstone. Sci-fi romance told mostly through love letters, very poetic.
Crier’s War by Nina Varela. YA fantasy.
I kissed Shara Wheeler by Casey McQuiston. Contemporary romance, kinda unhinged plot but a really fun read.
She Drives Me Crazy by Kelly Quindlen. Contemporary romance, YA.
6 Times We Almost Kissed by Tessa Sharpe. Slow burn, YA, deals with themes like verbal abuse, loss of a parent, etc. My favourite of this list!
Also it’s not quite enemies to lovers, but the Burning Kingdoms series by Tasha Suri, is very good and since you enjoyed Gideon, I’d highly recommend it as well.
