Is there any horror books people recommend? I’m just getting into the genre and really love books such as Sundial, Nos4A2, and The ninth house by Dreadpirate983 Related: recommend me some tragic romance books Looking for a love story book based on Europe Seeking Guidance on How to Live a Meaningful Life – Need Book Recommendations! Looking for wordless novel suggestions with expressionist style illustrations Any book recs where the protagonist is a masculine female?

Other truly great ones I’ve read: —Sara Gran’s Come Closer (demonic possession, turn on all the lights); — Starve Acre by Andrew Hurley (English rural/folktale horror done perfectly); —The Crane Husband by Kelly Barnhill (allegorical horror drawing on domestic abuse) — Breed by Chase Novak (what a twist! this one has stayed with me for years)
