Hi all. I’ve recently read Red White and Royal Blue by Casey McQuinston and quite enjoyed it. I particularly appreciated the built-up, passion and feel-good vibe.
So, I’m looking for something similar: M/M gay romance; interesting story, captivating characters (possibly in their 20 and above), some sex appeal, and – please – a happy ending (they end up together). Also, nothing with triangles, parallel flings, breakups, ecc. It’s ok if there is tension, doubts, or a built-up.
I’m going through stuff and want to have that “butterfly” feeling, but I don’t have the emotional strength for a depressing conclusion at the moment.

If you like steampunk and werewolves and vampires, Romancing the Werewolf is marvelous. The only downside is that it’s part of the Parasolverse books by Gail Carriger, and you might want to work your way through the Parasol Protectorate and the Custard books first. They are great…but it means you are reading a series to get to the utterly delightful payoff of this romance. The characters definitely go through some stuff before they finally get together, but it’s all great, and reasonably lighthearted…and Romancing the Werewolf is both very romantic and pretty darned funny.

    3. Dont read the wicker king if u dont want depression, but putting it out there cause the ending is positive…

Foxhole court, but read the whole series

    4. ‘Eleanor & Park’ by Rainbow Rowell is a young adult romance that captures the sweetness and intensity of first love. Set in the 1980s, it’s a story about two misfits finding solace and understanding in each other, and I always find it utterly authentic and touching.
