Hi all! I’m currently gathering a book list for a research paper. My topic is: (1) how masculinity is portrayed in fiction, (2) the relationship between traditional masculinity and the idea of the hero (e.g. superheroes, gun-slinging cowboys, soldiers, etc.) and (3) the impact the male hero figure has had on society.
I’ve had trouble finding some books which would help guide me in this research. My friend has recommended I look into some feminist theory books. I think that could be good, but I don’t know where to start!
I’m open to nonfiction or fiction books, but would prefer nonfiction.
