Hi. I’m relatively new here and I’m not sure if this type of question is allowed.
What is everyone’s annotation preference? I’m a big note taker, but I go back and forth deciding one if I should just suck it up and write in my books or write in a separate notebook.
A lot of my books are hardback, so they feel a bit more special to me.

Do you plan to part with your books, resell them? If not, annotate away!
I never annotate books. The most I’ve done is highlight quotes on my Kindle.
Even in school and for work I rarely take notes. I would rather read something three times than spend time writing notes about it. But usually I find that it’s not necessary to read it more than once.
