suggest me book about the strangeness of being alive

i love movies like the eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, lots of the tarkovsky movies and i generally enjoy this melancholic/often lonely vibe and a general feeling of „how strange is it to be alive after all…“

books and authors that come to my mind are murakami, solaris by lem, vonnegut but i’m looking for broad suggestions, not necessarily sci fi and maybe something entirely different that still captures this feeling for you.
