I’m a nursing student who’s been really into medical books recently. Song of a cell and The emperor of all maladies by Siddhartha Mukherjee were both a 5/5 for me. Immune: A Journey Into the Mysterious System That Keeps You Alive by Philipp Dettmer was simultaneously a fantastically entertaining and educational book as well. Phantom plague and anything by Mary Roach is also on my to read list. I’m currently looking for a book that is in the same vein as these titles, informational medical books (that are not textbooks) but on Cardiology and/or heart disease.
